Genovesa Island  - Blog Entry June 18th, 2016

Overnight we crossed the equator arriving at the northern island of Genovesa. The great thing about this island is this is the only location in all of the Galapagos you will find the Red Footed Booby. If there ever was an island of birds this is it, and tens of thousands of them. We went on shore at 6:45 a.m. just in time to catch the frenzy of birds feeding and gathering material for nests. Wow is the best way to describe the experience. Later in the afternoon we took the zodiacs over to the Prince Philips steps which took us to the top of the cliffs. Nesting boobies, and the short eared owls. Another great afternoon of photography. Enjoy the photos from todays adventure.
