Experiencing Palermo

After our flights from Toronto to Rome and Rome to Palermo we have arrived in beautiful Sicily. We spent our first day walking and exploring various regions of the city including a morning visit to the market, Piazza Quattro the exact centre of the four corners of Palermo, the Piazza Pretoria with it’s beautiful renaissance fountain and Massimo Theatre. We finished off our first day with a walk along the pier. The night comes alive in Palermo with many of the locals taking to the streets and enjoying the many cafes within the many quadrants of the city. So of course some night photography was also in order. Enjoy todays selection of images from our first day in Sicily.
