July 27th, 2017 - Hike to Tigers Nest Bhutan & Heading Home
Wow ... What a journey for our 100th tour. It has been an amazing 14 days experiencing Nepal, Tibet and wrapping our photo adventure here in Bhutan.
To wrap up our tour and the final highlight of our trek, today we hiked up 910 meters to Tigers Nest, one of the most holy monasteries in Bhutan. What a work out, but worth every step of the hike. It took the group roughly 6 hours to hike up and back. We did take time at the top for photos, enjoying the view, tea coffee and lunch. Something we won't soon forget.
On our way back to the hotel we stopped to watch an Archery competition and view some of the festivities of the holiday celebrations. Bhutan is truly the happiest place in the world and we were made feel very welcome and enjoyed the hospitality of the Bhutan people.
We are now heading back to Canada with memory cards full of images and many memories of our journey and the friendships developed with our fellow photographer travellers. Thank you for following our blog, and thank you to all the photographers that joined me on our 100th Photo Tour.
