India Blog May 12 Final Post of the Tour

Taj Mahal and preparing to head home ... Wow what an experience. We wrapped up our visit to Indian and our Tiger Expedition with a visit to the Taj Mahal at 5 a.m. this morning and we were treated to a beautiful view including a spectacular sunrise at at that hour very little visitors. There is also a noticeable difference in the air quality compared to past visits due to more conservation on pollution control. Many of the factories responsible for darkening the skies around Agra have been closed and relocated away from the population making a big difference on breathing and the landscape. We spent a couple of hours exploring and photographing around the Taj, returning back to our hotel for breakfast and some free time to pack and prepare for our journey home. We departed Agra mid day traveling back to Delhi where we had day rooms to check into to freshen up and have dinner prior to our 12:05 a.m. flight home to Canada.
