What a great way to kick off the holiday season ...  and there is no more of an interesting place than Frankenmuth, Michigan in December.  This one day photo trek with departures from Woodstock, London and Sarnia will take place Sunday December 9th, 2012.

Here’s a different type of place to experience a different type of photography.  In Frankenmuth it is Christmas all year round ... but during the holidays this little Bavarian town pulls out all the stops.  This will be a great day of holiday fun and seasonal photos.

Our day in Frankenmuth will be spent photographing the many things this little town has to offer.  The interesting and photographic European style copper towers that adorn the Bavarian Inn Lodge offer colour and interesting compositions.  The covered bridge that spans the river, set in a picturesque backdrop, the woolen mill, brewery, horse drawn carriages, and of course all the shops and streets decorated with the holiday colours.

We will be offering pick-ups starting at 7:30 a.m. from the Quality Inn parking lot in Woodstock, then 8:15 a.m. from the Sears Outlet Mall on Oxford and Wonderland, and finally in Sarnia at 9:15 a.m. at the Lambton Health Unit.

I'm pleased to have Bill and Deb Hall, photographers from Woodstock joining us as my co-hosts for our Christmas Holiday Tour.  Deb and Bill offer many interesting photographic ideas combined with a very unique teaching skill.  It will be a pleasure to have you with us.

We will be crossing into Port Huron via the Blue Water Bridge, you will required your passport for this tour.  Then on to Frankenmuth, Michigan arriving at approximately 11:00 a.m.

During the course of the day you will have opportunities to photograph the locations around the town including opportunities to visit and photograph the interiors of the many Christmas shops within the town.  We will also visit the covered bridge, old brewery and woolen mill.  The Bavarian Inn and Lodge will also offer up many photo opportunities.

We will have dinner as a group at Zehnder’s Restaurant in Frankenmuth. Great home style food, the colonial style building itself offers up yet more photographic possibilities.

After dinner returning home, reaching our final destinations at approximately 8:30 p.m. in the evening.
