This is a wonderful trip that you are on. I was in Uganda last year. Saw the gorillas in Rwanda and it was the best encounter that I have with any animal. My heart jumped to my throat.A few suggestions in photographing: use video in addition to video. I wish i had. 70-200 zoom and 35-110 lenses with preference to former will be needed.
take it all in. the time with them will go extremely fast.
it is an awesome inspiring experience.
