May the luck of the Irish follow you throughout your travels.
The Jacks
If you arrive in Ireland and ask someone for the rest room, it is social suicide. It's either called 'the toilet', or even more commonly 'the jacks'.
In pubs the sexes are written in Irish on toilet doors. So you have the 'fir jacks' and the 'ban jacks'. Not to be confused with 'banjaxed', which means something is broken. You'll learn soon enough.
In use: 'Tell ye what, you get in another round, while I head to the jacks.'

Save travels, folks. Wish I was with you.
James, keep Dave away from the animals and make sure everyone stays hydrated with the appropriate refreshments!

Hi James! Ugh, so incredibly jealous you are in Ireland!
Please give The Merry Ploughboys a great BIG HELLO from me, the gal who asked Dylan (?) not to spit on me while he sang!! Must have had too many Guiness to have made such a comment/request!
Did you pack red lipstick to make the Canadian flag?!!
My best to you!

The fort (Ring) with a view of the City of Derry is called An Grianan. It's history dates a few small thousand years before the birth of Christianity. It's exact construction date is unknown, but it is suffice to say it is really, really old !
Look forward to meeting you all again in Derry for the best coffee in Ireland.

Regards
