Arrived in Uganda ... Rhino Encounter
We arrived into Entebbe, Uganda mid day yesterday and were greeted to a champagne welcome by our jeep drivers and hosts for then next twelve days. A great way to start our tour. We checked into the hotel taking some time in the afternoon to relax and settle in prior to our evening welcome dinner on the roof top patio, which made a nice start.
We were up early this morning to start our first leg of our Uganda journey as we drop from Entebbe to Murchison Falls, located on the river Nile. En route we visited the Zawa Rhino Reserve. Here they are breeding Rhino’s and releasing them back into the wild. It was an amazing experience as you hike through the brush with a park ranger to find the Rhinos’s and once we did were able to get up-close to photograph them. After lunch at the reserve, we continued to Murchison Falls. Another great stop witnessing the power of the falls as in flows in the River Nile. Tomorrow we will take a River Nile cruise and sail up to the mouth of falls. We finished the day with a sunset crossing of the River Nile as we headed to our lodge. Tomorrow we will be up early for our first game drive of the tour. Good night from all the Trekkers in Uganda. To see todays blog please click on the link below.
