We have now arrived into the bay off the coast of the island Rábida or Jervis. Almost all the islands have two names and Rábida is quite the contrast with much more greenery to the lava flow islands we left yesterday. Most of the coastline here is rocky except for one very red sandy beach on the northeast side. A hight amount of iron in the lava give this island a distinctive red colour.
This afternoon we sailed to Santa Cruz Island in search of the large land iguanas at a location called Cerro Dragon located on the west coast of the island. We were not disappointed as we had many sitings and a beautiful hike topped off with a nice island breeze. We also had many beautiful landscape opportunities today on both islands. Below is a great selection of images from todays trek. Enjoy.
