September 18th Arrival
Jambo (Hello) from Nairobi, Kenya. Photo Tour Trekkers has arrived safely and ready to begin our 14 days of Safari photography.
We had two great flights flying from Toronto to Amsterdam, then connecting Amsterdam to Nairobi. We arrived just after 8 p.m. Kenya time. We are 7 hours ahead home. Our total travel time was just over 23 hours and after check-in everyone was ready for their beds. We have an 8:00 a.m. pull out tomorrow morning.
When we arrived at the airport the group was met with George our lead driver / guide and when took our greeting to the parking lot and had a tailgate party Kenya style. Complete with champagne and greetings from our other driver/guides and gifts for our guests.
For this tour we have four, six passenger jeeps at the majority of our time will be spent on safari. Each jeep the photographers have their own window seat and when it comes time for photography the roof raises up and we can shoot from the safety of our jeeps with a 360 view of our surroundings.
We have a few images to share with you from our journey from Canada to Kenya. Tonights are shot with an iphone but let’s you see the fun has already started.
