September 19th Niarobi to Lake Nakuru National Park
Well our first day in Kenya and it’s off to a great start, a beautiful can comfortable day around 26C and many interesting sitings on our first game drive at Lake Nakuru National Park.
We left Niarobi just after 8:00 a.m. this morning and made our way north to Lake Nakuru National Park. We encountered interesting scenery along the way. Urban, country life and wildlife. One of the first breath taking landscapes was to photograph along the continental ridge which drops deep into the valley floor that runs along this part of the country. Many hot springs and geothermal power plants take advantage of the unique geology of the region.
Arriving at Lake Nakuru National Park around lunch hour, we had time to each, check in and relax before our afternoon game drive. The national park is about 810 square km is size and his home to many wildlife species. It was a great afternoon, including us coming up two sets of mating lions.
Enjoy the selection of images from today.
