Wednesday August 12th: Waymouth, Portland Bill and Plymouth
Early this morning we left Bournemouth to travel further south down the coast as we headed for Plymouth. Our first stop was Waymouth and Portland. This region is were the Olympic sailing races took place when England hosted them in 2012. We spent time photographing Portland Bill, the name for the lighthouse on the point and some interesting small seaside cottages.
We finished our day by arriving in Plymouth, where we will be staying for the next three nights. Plymouth is the point where the pilgrims departed to head to America. Enjoy todays selection of images from our tour.
