Thur Nov 17th, 2016 - Monywa and Shwe Ba Taung Paya Caves
This morning we crossed the Chindwin River and continued westwards towards the Pow Win Daung village and Shwe Ba Taung Paya, with shrines carved into the hillside decorated with elaborate mosaics and Buddha images. This made from a great photo location exploring the many shrines to Buddha and experimenting with capturing interesting images with the different light the cave shrines provided. We returned to our hotel for a mid afternoon break then visited the night markets to finish off our day. Here’s a selection of images from todays activities.
