Friday Nov 18th, 2016 - Monywa to Pakkoku to Bagan by River Boat
This morning we checked out of our hotel in Monywa and traveled by our motor coach to Ma-U Village. Once a thriving capital in Burma Ma-U is now just a small village with many pagodas left behind from they years of wealth. We had plenty of time to photograph and explore the many ancient pagodas. We took a walk through the village and then visited a school before heading on to Pakkoku. We have lunch by the river then sailed for two hours down the river to Bagan. Our timing was perfect for sunset photos along the river. We are now in Bagan the land of 4,000 pagodas for the next three nights. Enjoy todays selection of photos as our Burma adventure continues.

The many old pagodas as we held our first photo shoot of the day.
Most of the pagodas are over grown with grass and ferns. This adds to the shots.
As you walk deeper into the fields the pagodas keep getting bigger. Each one was put up by families and the more money you had the bigger the pagoda.
Many had interesting entrances.
