Monday Nov 21st, 2016 - Bagan, Flight to Heho and Inya Lake
This morning some of the group opted to head back out to the pagodas and capture the sunrise and the many hot air balloons that go up each morning. We departed the hotel at 8:30 am for the airport for our flight to Heho. Heho is at about 4,800 feet above sea level and the temperatures here are a little cooler. We visited one of Myanmars busiest markets then boarded our boats to travel about an hour onto Inya Lake to the hotel we will be staying for the next two nights. This region is all about the water. Stilted villages, small fishing boats, many textile industries and plenty of beautiful scenery to photograph. This evening we enjoyed sunset at the resort and tomorrow we will spend the entire day on the water. Enjoy todays selection of images.
This map shows the next leg of our journey ... Flying from Bagan airport to Heho, then on to Inya Lake.
Here’s a shot by Janice Weightman of sunrise with the hot air balloons. Thanks Janice.
