Wednesday Nov 23rd, 2016 - Inle Lake and Return to Yangon.
Today we had opportunity to take more photos around the villages of Inle Lake prior to departing this beautiful mountain region to fly back to Yangon. We had one last dinner with our Myanmar guide NyiNyi then tomorrow we depart for the next leg of our journey and fly to Chiang Mai, Thailand. Below is a selection of images from yesterday in the village and this morning as we sailed out in our long boats in the fog. It made for some great photography.
Here’s Yang and Wendy as they show off the latest in Myanmar head gear.
Off to Market.
Umbrella light.
Nancy, Ken and NyiNyi enjoying the afternoon sun.
This was the view during lunch.
Ken checking out the local cigars.
As the sun started to set, we visited one last floating village. This little girl was the welcoming committee.
Great reflections in the calm waters.
This is early this morning as we departed the lake district saying good bye to this beautiful lakeside resort.
There was quite a bit of fog this moring. Ken and John at the front of the long boat.
The lake is pretty well socked in, our flight was delayed 2 hours this morning too.
Fisherman early this morning.
More fisherman in the foggy distance.
The fog made for some great shots, the lake was totally different.
A happy fisherman early this morning.
Despite the fog, the colour still shines through.
That’s a wrap on todays blog. Tomorrow we fly from Yangon to Thailand. More as our photo adventure continues. Good night.
