After three flights totalling we have now safely arrived in Hanoi, Vietnam. It was a great trip, with a shout out to Korean Airlines for excellent service and great food. You help make traveling this distance enjoyable.
Flying out out Pearson International we traveled via Chicago to Korea then on Vietnam. We enjoyed the trip, it was long but the stops in between were long enough to make it a great trek over. It’s also helps when traveling with great guests too.
As I said at the beginning of our post we are now in Hanoi and will be here for the next couple of nights. Tomorrow we will post images from our first full day in Vietnam, but for this evening enjoy a few pics form our journey here. Night from the Trekkers in Vietnam. PS for those who are wondering we are 11 hours ahead of home.
This was our hotel the Alt Hotel in Toronto the night before our departure. A very colourful place for photographers to stay.
The view from our hotel at sunrise on Thursday morning, prior to our departure.
Our Korean Air jet had a very interesting paint job! This was the result of a children’s drawing contest.
Couples that travel together should always have matching colour running shoes!
At the Seoul, Korea airport each day they do a cultural parade through the departures area demonstrating the way the royal family would have traveled through the region centuries ago. It was very colourful, this was one of the guards.
Beautiful traditional clothing and photo opportunities.
Speaking of photo ops, Allan was getting into the theme of things too.
Plenty people taking photos!
Marion posing with one of the members of the Royal party.
Gweneth with the King and Queen.
Then the precession makes it’s way through the airport.
Beautiful colours.

That’s if for a quick update just to let everyone know we have arrive and will start our photo tour tomorrow evening of Hanoi. Good night.
