We have had a great day and start to our photo tour of Vietnam here in Hanoi. We photographed and explored the streets of the old quarter via cyclo bikes, and this evening attended a traditional water puppet show complete with a live band.
The old quarter is a must visit when Hanoi and as everything from auto repair, to groceries, shoes, flowers, metal shops, you name it and you can find it in the old quarter. We also photographed at the White Horse Temple, and the Temple of Literature. Many students come to the Temple of Literature to pray for their exams and celebration of their graduation. Today was a busy day and made for some great photographs. We had lunch at KoTo which is a eating establishment that helps less fortunate children learn a trade in the food industry.
Later in the afternoon we visited the Tomb of Ho Chi Minh, his simple house set in the beautiful gardens and this evening the water puppet show and dinner. It’s been a great day. Tomorrow we pack up and say good by to Hanoi and travel to Halong Bay. We will spend tomorrow night onboard a Chinese Junk style ship and photograph the beauty of the bay.
Enjoy the selection of todays photos and good night from Hanoi. ** Please note there will be no blog posting tomorrow evening as internet service is not available when sailing on Halong bay.
