Chicago Weekend
These images are from our final day in Chicago, Sunday June 29th. Please make sure to scroll though to the end of today’s blog as we have posted a series of images that have been submitted by some of the photographers that traveled with us to Chicago.
After breakfast we spent our morning visiting and capturing the activities at Navy Pier. Our visit rewarded us with so many interesting photographs including some aerial images from the Chicago Pier Ferris Wheel. By the way did you know the ferris wheel was invited by a civil engineer from Illinois named George Washington Ferris, for the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair. The cost of the ferris wheel was $300,000.00.
Later in the afternoon we met back at our hotel and transferred back to the train station for our return trip to Port Huron. It has been a fun weekend and we wold like to thank all the photographers that join Dave Chidley and myself for our weekend trek.
Enjoy the selection of images from our last day in Chicago ... and don’t forget to check out the selection of images submitted by our photographer guests that were on the tour. Dave and James.
