India Photo Tour Day One
November 20, 2012
Namaste ... Hello from India. Our flight arrived into Delhi just shortly after 2:00 a.m. on Monday morning. After clearing customs we met our India guide Dinesh, and our motor coach and headed into Delhi. After a quick check-in everyone was ready to call in a night. This morning we woke up to beautiful weather and after breakfast we started our photo tour of Delhi.
We visited the markets, riding through the streets on rick shaw. We spent time photographing inside Delhi’s Jama Mosque. The photo opportunities were endless today and everybody was kept very busy.
Tonight we had our welcome dinner at the penthouse of Sonja and her husband JJ, here in Delhi. Sonja is the India operations manager for the Canadian company we use that helps with our tour arrangements. We had the most amazing meal, with a great view over the city, fireworks and a chance to visit with some of Sonja’s relatives and friends who joined our dinner tonight to give our photographer a great introduction to India. Thank you, to Sonja, your husband JJ you are amazing hosts.
That’s in for the end of Day on in Delhi, tomorrow we leave the hotel very early to catch the 6:00 a.m. train to travel to Ajmer and on to the Pushkar Camel Festival, it’s about a 5 hour train ride. We will be at the festival for the next two days, so if you notice no blog, check back we will catch up, we just might not have internet access. So see for this leg of our adventure we will be staying in safari tent hotels. Enjoy tonights images and good night from India.
