India Photo Tour Day Seven and Eight
November 25 & 26, 2012
Ranthambhore and Bird Sanctuary
I’m sure you have noticed a few days without posting again ... our last few locations have not been very good for internet connections so I’m now posting all our updates from the balance of the tour. We are now home safe after an incredible 14 day photo trek to India.
Today was a full day of Safari’s at Ranthambhore National Park, we divided the photographers into three groups for traveling through the park. One of our groups of photographers were lucky enough to see a tiger today who was on the hunt.
After our morning safari some of the group stayed in the jungle and had breakfast at the old hunting lodge then hiked up to Ranthambhore Fort and the Ganesh Temple located up on the mountain ridge. Pilgrims heading to the temple, monkeys, architecture from 900 AD to 1600’s and an amazing view of the jungle were the reward for the hike.
The following morning we departed for Keoladeo National Park which is home to the Ghana Bird Sanctuary. We rode through the park on rickshaws in the afternoon and were treated to a beautiful sunset and rising of the full moon.
We have one evening at the park and in the morning depart for Agra, were we will be visiting the Taj Mahl at sunset, under the full moon and then the following morning for sunrise.
Enjoy the images of our two days of our journey in the National Parks.
