India Photo Tour Day Eleven - Amsterdam
December 01, 2012
Amsterdam
We had a seven hour layover in Amsterdam yesterday so we had plenty of time to do a sunrise city photo tour of Amsterdam. It was a little cooler than the weather we experienced in India but the fresh air was great after the first of two 8.5 hour flights.
We had enough time to meet up with our motor coach and go into the city centre for a walking tour around the canals, city streets and some of the red light district.
Here are a few images from our morning trek in Amsterdam and the last blog post of our Incredible India Photo Tour. The group is now home safe, we arrived back into London last evening at 6:30 p.m. about an hour earlier than scheduled, thanks to an early flight landing and light traffic on the 401. Thanks to all the trekkers that joined me on this incredible photo adventure and to everyone at home that followed along on the blog. Sorry for a few blank days between our postings, internet connection was a little frustrating on this journey. Enjoy a few images from Amsterdam.
James and the Photo Trekkers,
Windmill just before sunrise, this is actually a private residence
Canal view near the city centre
Another view of the canal the water was still which made for great reflections
Each street corner offered another interesting view
Many bridges criss cross the canals
As the sun started to rise, there was some nice colour in the sky
Speaking of colour .... the red light district no one in the windows this morning
Sidney ????? oh ok I understand just a house call....
Looking into one of the many bakery windows
Can’t pass by a puddle without checking for great reflections!!!!
Full moon in the back of the Royal Palace
Street bakery
Another windmill just on the edge of town
We hope you have enjoyed the blog and images from our Incredible India Tour, thanks again for following along. I’m sure all the photographers from the tour, will be busy for weeks sorting through their thousands of images.
