Early morning hot air ballon ride over the Masai Mara
Well it was an early start this morning 4:30 a.m. to be exact. In order to reach the launch point of the hot air balloons we had to travel 25 km’s outside the game reserve. We reached the launch site just before sunrise and took off just a few minutes before the sun broke the horizon. What an amazing experience for our photographers. We flew for approximately one hour and traveled about 30 km’s now deep inside the park. We flew over every game animal imaginable including the gathering herds of wildabeast getting ready to leave Masai Mara for the great migration. When we landed we were met by jeeps that took us to an open air breakfast on the reserve. A perfect morning for sure.
After our breakfast our jeeps meet the group and we headed out for a day of safari and photography. Packed with a picnic lunch meant we could go deeper in the park and stay out all day. Our time was well spent and we had a great day of photography. Below is the link to our new blog gallery with a large selection of images from day 3. This will be all of catch up for today and tomorrow night I will post day 4, 5 and 6 which is today. Good night from all the Trekkers now in Tanzania and enjoy the gallery of photos.
