Day Photographing and Exploring the Ngorongoro Crater
Another amazing African day ... the jewel in Ngorongoro's crown is a deep, volcanic crater, the largest un flooded and unbroken caldera in the world. About 26kms across, 624 meters deep and 300 square kms in area, the Ngorongoro Crater is a photographers paradise. We departed our lodge early this morning and spent the entire day exploring and photographing the wildlife and birds who live within the unique eco system of the crater. Had a picnic lunch at the hippo pond and then completed our afternoon visit a pride of 17 plus lions. Unfortunately they had full bellies and spent the entire time sleeping. None the less great photo opportunities and another day of great photography. Tomorrow we move onto Tarangire National Park. Enjoy todays selection of images.
