Tarangire National Park - Small Birds, Cheetahs, Lions, Elephants & More
We did two game drives today, one early this morning, then back for lunch and a second at 4:00 p.m. returning to our lodge for lunch and time to relax. This region of Tanzania is very warm 28C to 34C at mid day, so best to come back to the lodge and rest in the shade ... the wildlife is doing the same thing. Tomorrow we depart towards Namanga (the border town between Kenya and Tanzania). After clearing the immigration formalities, we’ll continue our journey to Amboseli National Park, which provides the classic Hollywood image of Africa. Set in rolling savannah scenery, it is dwarfed by the presence of the pink-tinged, snowcapped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest free-standing volcanic mountain in the world and topped by one fifth of all the ice in Africa.
Enjoy todays selection of images and good night from the Photo Tour Trekkers in Tarangire National Park, Tanzania.
