Saturday May 20th, 2017 - Rotterdam and Delft

Today we visited the metro city of Rotterdam and the quaint town of Delft. Rotterdam has been completely rebuilt since WWII as it was levelled shy of the cathedral in bombing raids. This has given the city a very modern look in contrast to many other cities in the Netherlands. We also visited the town of Delft today which of course is famous for the Royal Delft China with the distinctive blue colouring. Both locations made for great photography today. Enjoy todays selection of images. Tomorrow we visit the Hague and Scheveningen a sea side resort.

Welcome to the modern architecture of Rotterdam.
