Mont Tremblant Photo Tour Sept 28, 2012 Day TwoPhotography at Park Omega, Montebello, Quebec The weather was great todayand we were treated to some great wildlife photography in Park Omega. We started the morning by doing a safari type photo shoot through the many different roads and landscapes within the park. At every corner there was another photo opportunitiy. The fall colours added to the sceenery. Most of the day was spent Park Omega. After our safari we had lunch and then walked along the raised boardwalk trail for another opportunity to photograph Timber Wolves and the Black Bear. We finished day with a hike along the trail nea Placiance water falls. The falls and changing leaves made for great images. Then back to our hotel for dinner and time to relax. Tomorrow we travel about 80 km to Mont Tremblant, and spend the day exploring and photographing the colours of this part of Quebec. Enjoy this evening photos and good night from the Photo Trekkers in Montebello, Quebec. Kerry setting up her camera as we get ready to pull out this morning. Everythng was open on the safari bus, so it was perfect for photograhy. The tour was set up that every photographer had their own window. A heron fishing in the beaver pond. This young deer was sunning himself on the edge of some rocks. Dad was not to far away. This wolf is 18 years old and is kept away from the rest of the pack. Because of his age the younger wolves tried to kill him. Artic Fox ... their coats have a slight grey tinge to them, but they will go completly white by winter. The buffalo love to stir up the dust. A head shot ... he's keeping a close eye as we slowly drive by. Somehting new to the park ... Kids in a cage. We were trying to find out at what age they are released into the wild!!!! They are actually caged golf carts and families can rent them to get up closer to the animals while staying safe. We stopped at a section were we could get out and feed the deer. Gail got all the attention, but then again she look as orange as the carrots. Sandra offering up some treats too. Evelyn making a new friend too. Danny working on a close up shot of this shy deer. This deer is not shy, he is happy to pose for Monica. This is a two year old male moose. This coyote is roaming alone ... he escaped from his section and when they tried to return him, the others in his pack would not accept him as his scent had change. You can see his one eye were he was in a scrap. Next stop, the beautiful Artic Wolves. Always watching. Another artic wolve coming to check out the photographers. This Long Horn paid us a visit as we were watching the wolves. Coyote in thr afternoon sun. I think he is looking for a snack. The black bears were amazing. We did not see them on the last tour as it was the middle of winter. The bears are starting to fatten up for their winter hibernation. The weather co-operated beautifully today, the light was beautiful for wildlife shots. Cub watching us from a safe distance in a tree.I'm ready for my close-up. Eight week old Moose. As we hiked through the woods, there was time for some macro shots. More Fall Colours. Alfa male, showing his authority. Plaisance Waterfalls ... located approximately 28 Km from Montebello. Beautiful in the afernoon sun. Another view of the falls. Inukshuk at the base of the waterfalls. Until we meet again ... That's a wrap for this evening from Montebello, Quebeck. Good night. Yup, looks like one of the earlier caged kids did get released to the wild in the last photo.
Cheers and enjoy the rest of the trip.
