Catania at the foot of Mt Etna & arrival in Taormina.
Today we checked out of our hotel in Siracusa and traveled to the city of Catania which is situated at the foot of the Mount Etna. We arrived early enough to visit of the famous fish market where we will experienced the busy market full of every type of sea creature imaginable. The market offered up many colourful opportunities.
The balance of the morning and into early afternoon was spent exploring the streets of Catania before moving on to Taormaina situated high on the cliffs offering up beautiful views of the ocean. The tiny streets are full of eating establishments and shops. We will be staying in Taormaina for the next four days. Below you can click on the link to see todays gallery of images.
