Visit to Savoca & Forza d’Agro and Farewell dinner
Hard to believe it’s our last day in Sicily ... today we wrap up our photo tour with a visit to Savoca and Forza d’Agrò. These are two charming villages in the surroundings of Taormina, where Francis Ford Coppola shot scenes of his movie Godfather in 1972. We also photographed at the Church of San Nicola di Bari, where Coppola shot the scenes of Michael Corleone and Apollonia’s weddings. Many landscape opportunities over the Arab Norman castle of Cape Sant’Alessio from the village of Forza d’Agrò. Two great locations for our final photo shoots. This evening we traveled down from Toamina village to the shoreline for our farewell dinner. A reception, dinner and a performance by a local singer. A great evening and amazing way to wrap up our Sicily tour. Tomorrow we wrap up and head home to Canada. I want to thank all the photographers and guests that traveled with us to Sicily, it was great to experience this colourful corner of Italy with you and a big thank you to everyone that followed our tour via our blog. It’s always great to share our adventures with home. Ciao from Sicily.
