17 JUL 2017 - Tibet Blog - Celebrating our 100th Photo Tour
After almost 42 hours of travel the group has arrived in Kathmandu, Nepal as we get ready to photograph and explore this unique part of Asia.
This morning the group spent the day visiting various regions of Kathmandu, photographing at a temple that looks down on the city, visiting a market place and the former royal palace, and experienced a cremation ceremony beside a Hindi temple on the river.
We wrapped up our first day with a welcome dinner and cultural show. It was great entertainment while we sampled traditional food of Nepal. At the end of the dinner some of our group even tried some of the traditional dance moves.
I have also created a new gallery method to present the photo portion of our blog. So each day as you check back please click on the link below each entry to see the images. This new gallery allows us to share more photos and larger files sizes.
