April 4th - A Day Photographing in Hanoi
The weather held out and we had a great day here in Hanoi. Leaving our hotel early this morning in comfortable 24 C weather our first photo shoot was at the wholesale flower market. The colours and photo opportunities did not disappoint and group had a great experience meeting the folk in the market place.
We returned to our hotel around 8:30 a.m. for time to have breakfast and freshen up, then headed back out to visit various points around the city, including the mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh, even though it was closed to visitors today as Tussauds had to do some fix up work. We also visited some beautiful parks, west lake, toured the old quater in electric cars, the Temple of Literature, a water puppet show and had a great lunch at KOTO and dinner at Pots N Pans.
Everyone has turned in for the evening as we are still catching up on our sleep from our departure on Wednesday. Tomorrow morning we depart for a 145 KM drive to Halong Bay, for an overnight cruise.
Please note, because of our cruise and no internet in the bay we will miss a day for a blog entry. Our next post will be April 6th, when we reach Hue Vietnam.
Enjoy todays photos, and good night from all the Trekkers in Hanoi, Vietnam.
