Sunday April 13th - Siem Reap Cambodia & Happy Buddhist New Year
We arrived in Siem Reap at mid day today. Our flight was only 55 minutes from Ho Chi Minh City to Siem Reap airport today, and for those who are counting our 5th flight since leaving Canada.
We got settled into our hotel and then took the tuck tuck taxi into the old market for lunch and some free time to explore the town centre. It is also the Buddhist New Year so for the next three days there will be celebrations and many monks visiting the temples in Angkor Wat.
Tomorrow morning we will be departing the hotel at 4:30 a.m. to head into Angkor Wat for sunrise photography. So it will be an early night to bed as it will be a long and warm 36 C day here tomorrow. Below are a few images from todays experiences. Good night from Cambodia.
