Tuesday April 15th - Monk at Angkor Wat
We have had another amazing day at the temples in Angkor Wat. It was quite warm even when we headed out at 9:00 a.m. this morning, but the scenery in the temples made up for the heat. We also had a bonus photo opportunity as we had a monk that spent some time allowing us to photograph him this morning.
The balance of our day was spent having a leisurely lunch in the old market followed by a short drive into the country side to see how rural Cambodia lives.
We are now preparing for our journey back to Canada, we fly from Siem Reap at 11:25 p.m. via Seoul, Korea.
Below are a few images from our last day of our Vietnam and Cambodia Photo Tour. We would like to thank everyone at home for following our blog. Our next photo tour departs for Yosemite and San Francisco on April 24th so make sure to check back for stories and images from our next adventure. Good night from all of the Trekkers getting ready to head home from Cambodia.
Temple ruins on this mornings photo shoot.
An HDR black and white of Fire House Temple.
A few images with our monk friend at the temple.
We picked a secluded area to work with him.
The shadows of the pillars made for great lighting.
Walking up the corridor of Taprohm Temple.
Another angle.
These monks were site seeing today.
We decided to go off the beaten bath and check out a few other parts of the temple today.
After lunch we drove out into a more rural region for some photos.
Asian water buffalo.
Reflections, rice fields.
A couple of locals coming up the dirt road.
You will notice the houses are on stilts and the cattle live underneath.
Yes ... Gas is available by the litre ...
Bidding a farewell to our monk friend and a fond farewell to Cambodia.
