Vietnam & Cambodia Tour
Friday Feb 28, 2014
The Photo Tour Trekkers are now in Ho Chi Minh City. Our morning started at 6:30 a.m. when we took a boat from our hotel to the floating markets of Can Tho ... what an experience. You name it you can purchase it at the floating market. We even sampled some fruit and I had the best coffee I’ve ever tasted from a boat vender. Life here happens on the delta and this gave us many amazing photo opportunities as we sailed through the market. We had so much fun we did a second round.
After breakfast and check out we left the delta and headed back for a few days in Ho Chi Minh City. This afternoon we visited the Chinese Market, and I have it on the best authority a few deals were found along the way. As far as photo’s go, you name it and you can find an opportunity to photograph it in the Market. I will actually share some of the market photos with you tomorrow as this evening we have a dinner and we are preparing to leave the hotel at 7:00 p.m. As a point of interest we are 12 hours ahead of you at home Ontario Time, so you are still sleeping as I’m preparing the blog and photos of today’s activities.
I have sorted through a large selection of images for you to enjoy today, as it was very difficult to cut them back based on all the opportunities we had this morning. Tomorrow we will be sharing a surprise photo shoot with our photographers and in the evening we are taking them on a city photo crawl via Vespas. Food, local pubs and night photography will be the order of tomorrow evening. Enjoy the photographs, I’ve mixed some black & white shots in today’s selection. Good night from Ho Chi Minh City, formerly known as Siagon.
This first image was not on the Mekong Delta this morning, but during the village visit when yours truly tasted some homemade rice wine. This is truly one time when a picture says it all. Thanks Ann Atkey for this image.
