Bansko is the largest skiing area in Bulgaria. It is currently undergoing huge redevelopment. The group as a whole decided to skip it and head off to the village of Ortzevo high up in the Rodope Mountains.
Bulgaria is a very mountainous country. They are the Balkan Range, the Pirrens and the Rodope Mountains.
The views from Ortzevo were spectacular.
From Ortzevo we move on to Plovdiv.
The city of Plovdiv is one of the oldest cities in all of Europe. Its build on 6 hills, has a Roman Theatre and lovely look outs to the new city. We also had a bit Bulgarian Culture at a local restaurant.
