China Day 7- June 21st, 2018 Guilin Rice Terraces aka Dragons Backbone
We left the hotel early this morning and traveled two hours into the mountains to visit Dragon’s Backbone Rice Terraces and Zhuang Ethnic Village. Which are located some 824 meters 2703 feet from the valley floor. We traveled the first part up the mountain side by bus then the balance by foot. The remote village can only be reached by steps and foot paths there are no roads to the higher levels of the village. We spent the better part of the day exploring the village and rice terraces. Tomorrow we depart for Chongqing were we will visit a local village, photograph the panda bear, then in the evening board our river cruise ship which will be our home for the next four days as we sail the Yangtze river.
