2018 08 27 Day 5 Kenya to Tanzania - Full day safari on the Serengeti
We left the lodge early this morning for a full day of safari on the Serengeti and we were not disappointed. It was another amazing day here in Tanzania. The morning was a slow start but just before lunch we experienced a leopard climbing a tree then in the afternoon giraffe, elephants, an interesting cross section of small birds and then the grand finale ... on the way back to the lodge a black maned lion. He was with his pride and there must of been 5 or 6 lionesses popping up and down in the long grass. He took his time and gave us plenty of opportunity for photographs.
Tomorrow we depart for the Ngorongoro crater and the following day we descend into the crater for a full day of game drive. Good night from Serengeti National Park. To see all of todays photos please click on the gallery link below.
