2018 08 28 Day 6 Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
This morning we said farewell to the endless plaines of the Serengeti and enter the mountainous region of Ngorongoro arriving at the Crater and our lodge by just after 1:30 this afternoon. It was an interesting drive with a few photos as we traveled. The majority of this afternoon was time to relax as we prepare to descend into Ngorongoro Crater for a day of safari tomorrow. The crater is it’s own biosphere sustaining wildlife such as hippos, giraffes, lions, rhinos, baboons, and many species of birds.
This evening we had a fireside sun downer, it was a little drizzly but did not stop the group. The Masai danced and sang at fireside then again inside the lodge. I’ve also included some images in and around our lodge as it’s such a beautiful place to visit. At dinner this evening we surprised Charlene and Jake Den Hollander with a cake and the lodge staff sang to them. Our tour is their 35th wedding anniversary.
