2018 08 29 Day 7 Ngorongoro Crater
Another amazing day in Tanzania ... today we spent the day 600 meters down in the Ngorongoro Crater. This is for sure a natural wonder of the world. The crater is a biosphere onto itself sustaining all sorts of wildlife, birds and plants. As we explored the floor of the crater this morning we came upon a pride of 10 lions heading to a stream for a drink. We were treated to a one in a lifetime experience as they played, drank water and relaxed around the stream. A large portion of todays images depict the story as it unfolded. The balance of the day we continued exploring the different regions from grasslands to desert like regions to forests of trees and monkeys.
