We would like to invite you to follow our blog as we celebrate to our 100th tour this time traveling to Tibet, Nepal and Bhutan. It is a great honour to be traveling with a guest that traveled with me on my very first tour.

Our group departs on Friday evening July 14th as we fly to Hong Kong then on to Kathmandu in Nepal then on to Tibet, also known "Rooftop to the World". Tibet receives this name as Lhasa, Tibet the capital is at 3,700 meters or 12,139 feet above sea level with the Himalayas as her backdrop. The Himalayas host some of the highest mountains in the world including Mt. Everest.

Past and current Photo Tour Trekkers photographer travellers we invite you to leave a comment on our blog about your memories of a tour or naming a tour you joined us on. We will be taking all the comments and publishing them in special edition book celebrating our 100th tour later this fall. Book proceeds will be donated one of the charities we support.

Check back each day July 16th to 29th as we share stories and images from our trek.\

My first trip (hopefully not my last!) with James was to Parc Omega in Ottawa to shoot the wolves. I had an awesome time, met many people, learned a few photography tips, and have a few wolf photos on my walls. Thank you Photo TourTrekkers!

I have had the opportunity and pleasure to travel with James and the Photo Tour Trekkers on a number of occasions - all of which have become very fond memories. The people that I've met and traveled with on the tours are never forgotten and often thought off. I am sure looking forward to following along on this trip and seeing all the wonderful photos as you move along with the trip.
Safe travels everyone and enjoy that exciting part of our world.

My first trip with Photo Tour Trekkers was in 2010 to Scotland. The trip was awesome and so was the group I travelled with and out of it I have gained some wonderful friendships. I have to say since that initial trip, I haven’t stopped travelling with Trekkers!!! Each trip I reconnect with folks and always meet new ones. What also makes the trips enjoyable is the Host, James Cowie, he is a great person & now a good friend, the jokes, well there OK too Lol !!!! It is a great way to travel and I look forward to each and every trip and plan on continuing travelling for many years!!!!!!

I use to look at pictures from camera club members who traveled with James with envy and knew this is what I wanted to do. Since my trip to Ireland and meeting people that enjoy photography, travelling and learning from workshops it's become almost addictive waiting for the future tour brochure that James sends out and what the next adventure will be. My passport and memory cards are ready and waiting.
